The award was presented at the 2016 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which took place February 22-25.
The French initiative involves developing alternatives for digital radio transportation that are more efficient and use less bandwidth. Other project participants include a tier-1 carrier, a major RAN vendor, a European research institute and the ICT cluster Systematic.
EBlink’s leadership in wireless fronthaul technology was highlighted at this year’s Mobile Word Congress in Barcelona, where the company was nominated for the “Best Mobile Infrastructure” award alongside Alcatel-Lucent, Huawei, CCS and Nokia.

Thanks to international momentum and market traction, with several recent achievements in the USA, EBlink has received an award for most promising technology by the Paris Ile de France Chamber of Commerce. The competition included more than one hundred companies. EBlink made it to a shortlist of 3 finalists, and was voted the winner after a brief presentation by its CEO to the panel judges.
EBlink received the Gold 91 award for best technological product innovation from the Le MEDEF, a national organization that promotes promising small French companies.
EBlink won the Tech Tour Innovation Award in 2009. The tour is an international event that identifies the leading high-growth, privately held European technology companies and introduces them to key European, U.S. and Asian investors and professionals who can assist in their global expansion. The award is recognition that EBlink’s wireless solution provides a major breakthrough for acquisition and deployment of radio sites in mobile networks.
Ile de France, the largest French administrative region, gave EBlink the PM’UP 2009 award for both its innovative wireless solution and its commitment to sustainable development. The award noted that by reducing the need for coaxial and fiber optic cables, EBlink reduces the carbon footprint related to deploying mobile base station sites. The EBlink solution also limits the visual and environmental impact of base stations and radio antennas.
